Jewelry Trade Show & Exhibition Insurance

Your best pieces deserve the same protection at the on the show floor, at the fashion shoot, in the convention hall that they receive behind your own locked cases. Our Jewelers Block coverage extends to trade shows, exhibitions, trunk shows, fashion shows, and photo shoots — so the inventory you put in front of buyers stays covered wherever that happens to be.

What This Coverage Includes — and Why It Matters at Events

Trade shows and exhibitions concentrate your inventory in a single location often far from your primary place of business for days at a time. That exposure is real, and a standard commercial property policy rarely follows your goods beyond your four walls. Jewelers Block trade show and exhibition coverage is built specifically for this scenario.

Coverage under this program extends to:

  • Inventory displayed at trade shows, jewelry conventions, and industry exhibitions
  • Goods shown at trunk shows hosted at retail or private locations
  • Jewelry featured in fashion shows and editorial or commercial photo shoots
  • Property in transit to and from covered events
  • Robbery, or theft of covered goods during the event period
  • Goods taken in on memo or consignment that you bring to an exhibition

Whether you're exhibiting at a major industry convention or loaning pieces for a high-profile shoot, the coverage travels with the inventory.

Certificate of Insurance and Venue Requirements — Handled Before You Arrive

Event organizers and venue managers routinely require exhibitors to present a certificate of insurance before setup begins, and many require the organizer or venue to be named as an additional insured on the policy. If that documentation isn't in order, you don't get in — and no amount of explaining at the check-in table changes that.

We arrange certificate documentation and additional-insured endorsements in advance of your event, coordinated to meet the specific requirements of the organizer or venue. You arrive with your paperwork already sorted. There's no last-minute scramble, no calls from the loading dock, and no risk of being turned away at the door.

If you have a show coming up and aren't certain whether your current coverage satisfies the organizer's requirements, contact us before the event — not the morning of.

Coverage Built by People Who Attend the Same Shows You Do

There's a meaningful difference between a broker who has read about jewelry trade shows and one who has actually walked the floor at the same conventions you exhibit at each year. Our team attends and exhibits at major jewelry trade shows and conventions as part of how we stay current with the industry — the vendors, the formats, the security protocols, and the risks that are specific to high-value goods in a show environment.

That firsthand experience shapes how we structure exhibition coverage for our clients. We understand what a booth setup actually looks like, how goods move in and out of a show, and where the real exposures are because we've seen them ourselves. When you work with us on trade show and exhibition coverage, you're working with a team that takes the same shows as seriously as you do.

Common Questions About Jewelry Trade Show Insurance

  • Do I need separate insurance for each trade show I attend, or can one policy cover multiple events?

A single Jewelers Block policy can be structured to cover multiple trade shows, exhibitions, and events throughout the policy period. You don't need to purchase a separate policy for each show. We work with you to ensure your coverage is structured to reflect your full exhibition schedule for the year.
  • Does this coverage apply to fashion shows and photo shoots, or only to trade show booths?

Coverage extends to fashion shows and photo shoots in addition to trade shows and exhibitions. If your jewelry is being featured in an editorial shoot, a commercial campaign, or a runway event, the goods can be covered during that period — not just when they're behind a booth.
  • What documentation do I need to provide to the show organizer or venue?

Most organizers require a certificate of insurance and, in many cases, an additional-insured endorsement naming the venue or organizer. We prepare this documentation in advance and coordinate it to meet the specific requirements of your event so there are no issues at check-in.
  • Is jewelry covered while it’s in transit to and from a trade show?

It can be, depending on how your policy is written. Coverage under our Jewelers Block program can include goods in transit to and from covered events when they move by armored car, common carrier, or courier. We do not encourage hand carrying inventory to and from shows, and depending on the policy, it can be excluded.
  • What happens if a piece is lost or stolen during a show and I'm not sure exactly when it happened?

Mysterious disappearance — where a loss is discovered but the exact circumstances are unknown — is a covered scenario under Jewelers Block. If you notice a piece is missing during or after an event and cannot identify a specific theft incident, that loss is not automatically excluded. Our dedicated claims manager will work with you through the process and advocate on your behalf with the carrier.
